    Why you should not cut out all of your favorite foods at the same time. I tried an extreme diet once, where I was taking in low cards, eating only "healthy" foods, and eating no sugary things. I did this for a few month. Then it happened, I was running late, needed a quick meal, frig was empty, so I went to McDonald. For three months I was mainly eating out and working out less. I gain 25 pounds. So moral of the story, don't deprive yourself, else you will go junk zombie and over yourself.
    It sounds to me like your biggest issue is putting yourself down and looking for reasons to quit on whatever goal you set for yourself.

    Hi there, Yes they make good snacks. They're 'good' calories, too. Most protein bars are high in protein, quite low in carbs and very low in fats. PhD Diet Whey bars are a good option, but there are tons of options out there. Russ.

    Set a target to reach around 200lbs with this & you should see weight falling off. 200lbs x 12 = 2400kcals per day. Protein would be 240g, Carbs 240g and fats 53g. 5-6 meals per day, complex carbs instead of simple carbs in most situations, exercise (HIIT & weights are great) and you will get there. Russ.

    Hi there, yes, protein is fantastic when trying to lose weight. Protein has less impact on fat storage than carbohydrate or fats, so if you snack then protein's a good way to go. You could use food, but shakes are convenient. There's a vid on our channel which explains the 3 main things to look at with protein shakes, but basically yes you're right the ones at the local supermarket are usually overpriced.     That's a good question. The best time to take a shake is post-workout in water, but if you are cutting down carbs (dieting) and don't want to lose muscle you could also take a shake 30 mins before training in water. For most ppl 2 per day is fine, but it's upto you. Never go above 4 though. The key word to remember is 'Supplement'. It's there to aid your diet, not replace it, you need actual food too. Russ.
    This sounds good, I'm not actually a fat person, I've been working in a call centre for 3 years which has really made me put on weight but only on my stomach an buttocks. The rest of me is the same as it always was , I wonder if this is the right approach for me also.
